Put your tax dollars to work for Emanuel Medical Center

Georgia taxpayers can receive a state income tax credit for 100% of the amount they contribute to qualified rural hospitals, such as Emanuel Medical Center. That means you can send your state income tax dollars directly to Emanuel Medical Center to help your family, friends, and neighbors. In addition, many businesses receive a federal tax deduction in addition to their state tax credit.

Who can participate in Georgia HEART?

Any person or business with Georgia income tax liability can participate in this program.

How will my contribution be used?

Your contribution to Emanuel Medical Center through Georgia HEART will be used for facility improvements, equipment upgrades, and service expansions to better serve the community. Contributions will benefit not only Emanuel Medical Center, but also the Emanuel County Nursing Home and EMC clinics.

Previous contributions have supported the addition of colonoscopy services, a 3D mammography unit, the Emanuel Infusion Center, updates to the Emanuel County Nursing Home, and the purchase of vital surgical and medical equipment. Current and upcoming projects supported by Georgia HEART funds include the expansion and redesign of the Emergency Department and Emanuel County Nursing Home.

How much can I contribute?

If you pay Georgia income taxes, you are eligible to receive a 100% state income tax credit for your contribution to Emanuel Medical Center. Note that this is not a tax deduction, but rather a dollar-for-dollar tax credit.
